1900 Inn on Montford, Asheville, NC

Who would have thought the best hotel/inn we would have ever stayed in would be in North Carolina? I didn't even know Asheville, NC existed until I started doing research on dog friendly hotels we could stay in along our way. I was fortunate to find the 1900 Inn on Montford in the great town of Asheville, North Carolina. http://www.innonmontford.com/
As we drove up the driveway of a beautiful Victorian inn we were greated by the wonderul staff and innkeepers of the inn. Even Gizmo received a warm welcome (unfortunately Gizmo is not the frendliest Scottish terrier). They escorted us to our room (William Morris) and what a gorgeous room it is. Every detail and amenity was accounted for when they designed this inn. The room itself is absolutely impeccable. Everything from the sick steam shower to the super, soft fine linens is the best of the best. They even had a box of amenities for Gizmo - a homemade dog bone with his name on it from a bakery in tow called "Three Dog Bakery", a CD with soothing sounds for dogs, a book of hiking trails in the area, a doggie trundle with bed and bowls, etc. No detail has been left ignored. Breakfast arrived in our room (accompanied by more treats for Gizmo).

The room also has a cute backyard which is great for the dog. The inn goes above and beyond in making sure you have all of the comforts you would hope for in a luxury inn...a nice selection of dvds in the room, wifi that doesn't require hook-up or passwords...even the sheets and towels smell like they are fresh out of the laundry (i love that!). Also, we are able to pull right up to our room and enter from our yard which is great with the dog and all the crap we have in the car. Ilya and I totally lve the Inn and everything about it. It doesn't get much better than this!
