We returned from Italy about 2 weeks ago. We are back in East Quogue enjoying our last few weeks in the NY area and preparing for Christmas. We're staying at a great house...if your interested in taking a look, here is the linkhttp://www.home.earthlink.net/~hamptonsfarmhouse/.
I would love to be here in the summer becuase there's a great pool and the property is really beautiful. Winter in the Hamptons is very different from the summer but it's still a wonderful land of quiet, peaceful surroundings. It's still nice to take a stroll on the beach...no one around and you feel like you're in your own world.

We had a great time and hope to do a southern Italy trip in the near future.
We're leaving for Vegas in two weeks. Our road trip is planned and I can't wait to get the hell out of here. It's freezing cold (yes, I know Vegas just had there fair share of snow recently), there's tons of traffic and it's too damn expensive. I have a real love/hate relationship with the NY area. This is my home and where all of my family and friends are but I really need to break free for a little while. We don't have a real plan in place but life is for living. Will we return to the tri-state area? Who knows.
Ilya works remote (from home) even though his office is based in NY. Once we're in Vegas his work day will be 6am to 1pm so that leaves us a lot of time to explore and do cool things. I was working for a financial company in Manhattan but now I am a free, unemployed bird. I've been spending most of my time cooking. Cooking is my by far my favorite hobby. I plan to post some receipes and meals, along with restaurant pics and info as we make our way to Vegas.
